Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Announces Upcoming Provider Office Team Training Sessions

The Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) has scheduled provider office staff education sessions to reconnect with their provider communities this summer. The goal is to share helpful insights with team members about BWC and managed care organization processes. The BWC is also encouraging providers to share pertinent practice information with them.

Because provider offices typically have experience with workers’ compensation ranging from beginner to advanced, the BWC has scheduled two sessions on each date to accommodate these different levels. The first session will be held 11:30 am to 1 pm, and will cover an overview of the BWC and provider-office interactions. The next session will be held from 3 to 4:30 pm, and will feature an advanced discussion on topics such as forms, additional allowance and billing caveats.

The summer meetings will be held:

  • June 29 – Ohio Center for Occupational Safety and Health in Columbus
  • July 25 – Cincinnati Customer Service Office
  • July 26 – Dayton Customer Service Office
  • Aug. 29 – Youngstown Customer Service Office
  • Aug. 30 – Canton Customer Service Office

Email your RSVP to Janice.H.1@bwc.state.oh.us. If you have any questions, you can contact the BWC at 1-800-644-6292 and select options 0, 3, 0.
