The Mayor’s Transition Team Releases Report

  • New Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb announced last week his administration had completed its transition report. The AMCNO was proud to take part in one of the listening sessions that informed the report.
  • Among its recommendations, the Health Committee indicated a need for the Mayor Bibb to be a leader on the COVID-19 pandemic, and that he should see that public health is an essential lens that needs to be implemented across all of local government, not just in the Department of Public Health.
  • The committee also pointed out that other city issues are also public health issues, including gun violence, food deserts, and racism.
