• Abortion Rights Overturned by Supreme Court: The decision is likely to impact Ohio. HB 598 to ban abortion in nearly all cases has received three hearings in the House Government Oversight Committee. Read our opposition testimony here.
•  The FDA is using its power to regulate tobacco products—ordering the vaping device Juul off the market and announcing its intention to lower the amount of nicotine in cigarettes and other products. 
• The Senate has passed bi-partisan gun legislation. The legislation would establish some modest new gun restrictions and provide $15 billion for mental health programs around the country.
• The AMA announces a recovery plan for America’s physicians. We will work alongside the AMA in Washington to help push for policy reforms discussed in the plan.
• The U.S. Health and Human Services Department’s New Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) could be headquartered in Cleveland. Read our support letter to Sec. Becerra.
