AMA Summarizes No Surprises Act Provisions
The American Medical Association (AMA) created a summary of the recent Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing certain provisions of the No Surprises Act. The IFR becomes effective on Sept. 13, 2021. Ohio Will Receive Up To $1B in Opioid Settlement
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost recently announced that major drug companies have agreed to pay states $26 billion in a settlement over the opioid epidemic; Ohio will receive up to $1 billion. The distributors and manufacturer tied to the nationwide agreement are also being required to take steps to prevent a similar crisis from happening again.
